Published in 1986, Who’s Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe was DC’s fantastic answer to the Marvel version. The cover features the great artwork of artist John Byrne with a striking image of Superman. Some of the other characters and teams in this issue are Starman, Suicide Squad, Supergirl and Swamp Thing.
This was an oddity in that it gave us the history of the post-Crisis Superman (which at the time consisted only of 6 issues of Man of Steel) while all the other entries in this series dealt with pre-Crisis history. It’s a shame they didn’t include an entry for the pre-Crisis Earth-1 Superman in this series.

Yes, it is an oddity. Still, I’m glad that they included an entry for the Earth-2 Superman considering this was post-Crisis. John Byrne even featured him prominently on the back cover standing next to Supergirl.
