Action Comics #282 (1961)

Here is Action Comics number 282 from 1961 which contains a story about Superman sending a Clark Kent robot to meet Lois Lane at a plastic factory.

What makes this comic very significant is the fact that this was the last Action Comics to ever cost ten cents… a tradition that ran for twenty-three years since Action Comics #1 first hit newsstands in 1938.  The following issue saw the price raise to twelve cents.

The cover art was drawn by Curt Swan.  The writer of the Superman’s Toughest Day story was Bill Finger (co-creator of Batman) and the interior art was done by Al Plastino.
