This is a copy of Famous Monsters magazine number 151 from March of 1979. In addition to having a rarely seen pose of Christopher Reeve as Superman on its cover, it contains a nine-page feature covering Superman: The Movie.
Also in this magazine are detailed articles on Battlestar Galactica, the animated Lord of the Rings, and Mighty Joe Young.
This magazine originally belonged to my father who, in addition to westerns, loved classic movie monsters.
What an awesome cover! Classic Christopher Reeve pose, there with the animated Golem from LOTR, and a Cylon. Love that recreation of that iconic star wars scene with action figures as well, wonder what the prize was?

I checked… the First Place winner was Greg Watters for his T.I.E. Fighter Maintenance Hangar diorama. He won $500. The “Special Mention” was a guy who built an extremely accurate Millennium Falcon to the scale of the Kenner Figures.

That magazine has been on my want list for a long while because of the Star Wars custom compo. Plus it’s just a great cover with some cool characters.
