As part of the series of children’s books I Can Read, this issue is titled Justice League: Meet the Justice League. In this story, the team battles the giant alien starfish known as Starro (and its tiny clones) who are taking over the minds of the people of Earth. With the combined teamwork of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman, the heroes rid the planet of the menace.
The story was written by Lucy Rosen and illustrated by Steven E. Gordon and Eric A. Gordon. In this issue, the same duo that had appeared in other books in this series make a cameo as police officers who have had their minds taken over by Starro.
