One of the many promotional tie-ins for the 2013 motion picture Man of Steel was this Sunshine Cheez-It Baked Snack Assortment. Kellogg’s was granted the license to promote the movie on its products.
Here is a box of Aquarius Superman Playing Cards. Each card has a varying monochromatic artwork of Superman over halftone pattern backgrounds. This trading card set is the predecessor to the 2014 Playing Cards that Aquarius released.
Released in May of 2013, this is a DVD copy of the DC Universe animated movie Superman Unbound. In this film, Superman does battle with a new foe known as Brainiac, who is traversing space to collect cities in bottles and then destroy their planets. On Earth Superman, and his teen cousin Supergirl, protect Earth from the coming threat.
Here’s yet another lesser priced Man of Steel figure from 2013. Produced by Mattel, this is the original suit version that is light on paint on the neck and belt areas. This was done, apparently, in an effort to keep the cost down. Regardless, the figure still has seven points of articulation and comes with a vinyl cape.
Fans of Mad magazine’s parodies of Superman movies over the years were disappointed when their Man of Steel parody was met with only a text mention on the cover. This was apparently their answer to that cry.

This is a two-pack of Superman men’s crew socks by Bioworld. Produced in 2013, the socks are made of a different combination of materials. Sock one is made of 98% polyester and 2% spandex, while sock two is made of 68% acrylic, 30% polyester, and 2% spandex. The design on sock one features the art of Jim Lee while sock two features red ʻSʻ symbols against a black field.
