This is a Superman gift bag produced by Enesco in 1987. The blue bag stands at six inches tall and features the artwork of Jose Garcia Lopez showing Superman flying away from the city and the Superman logo above it.
In 1987, Enesco Imports Corporation was granted a license by DC Comics to produce superhero merchandise. This is a Superman vinyl placemat which is approximately twenty-two inches wide and eight-and-a-half inches high featuring the artwork of Jose Garcia Lopez against an array of symmetrical yellow zig-zag patterns and three ’S’ symbols. The then only three year old revised Superman title logo (with a rounded ‘U’) is in a prominent position at the top of the placemat.
Made in Korea for Enesco Imports in 1987 was this great “My ‘Man of Steel’” ceramic mug. The artwork of Superman (which is duplicated on both sides, divided by an ’S’ symbol) is by the legendary Jose Garcia Lopez, the man responsible for many of the late 1970s and early 1980s promotional artwork for DC Comics. At the inside rim of the mug are the words: My “Man of Steel”.
