Reach Justice League toothpaste (2004)

Oh, how I loved both the Justice League and the Justice League Unlimited animated series. Actually, I still do. There were so many pieces of memorabilia to collect that it was nearly impossible to keep up with. Fortunately, you could stroll down almost any aisle and find something related to it. Turning into the personal care area in 2004, I found…

Mattel Justice League Superman figure (Silver Storm version) (2006)

The Mattel toy line that promoted the Justice League animated series thankfully knew no bounds. There were countless variant figures including this Silver Storm Superman, produced in 2005, which looks like it was torn from an early 1990s independent comic cover. The figure is a made from the standard version, but is painted a slightly darker blue and gold where the yellows usually are. He comes with hefty, unnamed accessories like a shoulder/backpack tech… thing… that has a rotatable targeting monocle. On this shoulder/backpack tech… thing… you can…

Play-By-Play Superman 13-inch plushie (1998)

In 1998, promotion was heavy for the Batman/Superman Adventures which aired on Kids WB. This is a fun 13-inch Superman plushie by Play-by-Play produced in conjunction with the promotion of the series.

I picked this up during my 1999 trip to the Superman Celebration in Metropolis Illinois. The guests that year were artists Kerry Gammill, Alex Ross, and Rick Stasi. Whenever I see this plushie figure, my mind goes back to that very good year.

Among the many toys produced for the popular Justice League animated series on Cartoon Network was this Power Escape Superman. Released by Mattel in 2003, this figure (sporting a black suit) comes with a base that you can chain Superman to. With the push of a button, you can pretend that Superman pulls the chains out of the floor as the “dungeon bricks” explode and fall behind him.

In the 1990s, Disney Adventures magazine was a hit among kids. In this March 1994 issue, Dean Cain appeared on the cover as Superman (alongside four tied-up Beagle Boys) to promote the hit television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.
